While the world fell apart around us.
While the so called “world leaders” actively worked to violently put down popular dissent against their bigoted systems of imperialist control.
While neighbors turned on each other and purposely breathed plague in their fellow humans’ faces out of a misguided sense of rebellion.
While the bosses forced us all back to work and the government shamed us for any social contact that didn’t keep the gears of capitalist modernity turning.
While millions suffered and died.
While the world moved on.
